Massage On Campus (For all faculty, staff, and students)
Massages are 30 minutes in length. Please note massage service on campus is a convenience. Please keep your appointment with our massage therapist to ensure our ability to continue this service at ISU. Those who do not show for an appointment without notifying Health Promotion and Wellness (309.438.9355) within 24 hours advance notice will be asked to not book in the future.

Mindfulness (For all faculty, staff, and students)
Mindfulness courses are free for ISU faculty, staff, students, and ISU Retirees, and held as four-week sessions that help you learn about and practice various mindfulness and meditation techniques based from the evidence-based program, Koru. These techniques can improve sleep, reduce stress and anxiety levels, improve focus, academic performance, and eating behaviors; Mindfulness when practiced, contribute to a greater sense of well-being and overall happiness. Two versions are offered: Basic and 2.0. classes are free, but space is limited.

Sweet Dreams Redbirds
A free personal wellness program focusing on sleep using the
REFRESH© sleep series, an eight-week, self-paced program, researched at Stanford University. We believe that, at the completion of the program, you will find your sleep and sleep habits have been enhanced and improved. Each of the 8 weeks will focus on a different topic, ranging from understanding the benefits of sleep, strategies to reduce worries, practice being more mindful, and activities to reduce stressors.
Program begins Monday, September 9.

Project Connect
This program will bring together small groups of students, led by trained peer facilitators. These facilitators will lead engaging conversations using structured questions and fun activities. Each session is designed to help you get to know one another better in a safe and supportive environment.
Project Connect will meet once a week for five one-hour sessions. The program is evidence-based, demonstrating its effectiveness in reducing loneliness, enhancing social connectedness, and improving mental health.
There are two sessions that you may register for.

Family Day at the Children's Discovery Museum (For all faculty, staff, and students with children)
We are excited to invite you and your immediate family members to share an afternoon at the Children's Discovery Museum in Uptown Normal. This family activity is held during the spring semester each year and families must register (maximum is 125). The event is free of charge for Illinois State University, faculty, staff, and students and their families.

Support for Nursing Mothers (For all faculty, staff, and students)
Breastfeeding 101 introduces participants to the benefits of breastfeeding for baby, mom, and the family as well as information on nursing techniques, the role of pumping, and information about Illinois breastfeeding laws and Illinois State University policy. This is a free class open to faculty, staff, and students, and their spouses/partners. Facilitated by a certified lactation consultant.

Returning to Work or School explores how to successfully return to school or work as a breastfeeding mom. This class covers on-campus lactation spaces, the importance of pumping schedules, and a guide to help conversations with your supervisor and colleagues. Family Swims and Climbs (For all faculty, staff, and students with children)
We are excited to offer Family Climbs along with Family Swims held in the Student Fitness Center pool and their rock wall on Saturdays and Sundays. Lifeguards are on duty and all parents/guardians must remain in the pool area. Families are encouraged to bring their own flotation devices. Please note, in order to participate, children must securely fit in Campus Recreation’s harness or bring a harness Campus Recreation staff must approve. Parents/guardians are required to remain in the area while children climb. This is a free event.
