Live Well with Eight at State

Join the Live Well Program

The Well-being Community of Practice units, Campus Recreation, Health Promotion and Wellness, Student Counseling Services, and Student Health Services, unveiled the Eight at State campaign aimed at strengthening the commitment to further health and well-being for the Illinois State University campus community.

LIVE WELL with Eight at State is a free incentive-based program designed to support healthy living in Illinois State University students, staff, and faculty. The Eight at State initiative emphasizes a holistic approach to well-being through the intentional focus on eight dimensions of wellness: emotional, environmental, financial, intellectual, physical, social, spiritual, and vocational.

Engaging with the LIVE WELL program is simple— Join the program, take the wellness assessments and begin to track your day to day activities that align with one or more of the eight dimensions of wellness. Over the course of the program LIVE WELL will host monthly challenges for participants and weekly messages designed to motivate and inform participants about ways to further develop personal wellness. Activities entered accrue points and participants become eligible for incentives. Individuals are empowered to engage with LIVE WELL at the level appropriate for them, and once ten activities have been entered they can choose a LIVE WELL t-shirt or stone coaster.
