Ergonomics
Ergonomics focuses on designing workspaces to fit individual needs, enhancing comfort, efficiency, and productivity. By optimizing tasks, tools, and environments, it aims to prevent workplace injuries through proper posture and equipment adjustments. Health Promotion and Wellness (HPW) provides ergonomic education and personalized consultations, collaborating with departments on improvements. Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to seek HPW's assistance for ergonomic solutions.
Request an Ergonomic Review
Ergonomic reviews are are one-on-one assessments that can be conducted in-person on-campus, or virtually. To request an ergonomic review, fill out the pre-assessment form and schedule a 45-minute meeting with Nikki Brauer via Outlook. Department Approval: Please inform your supervisor before requesting a review to ensure timely processing, as departments must approve and fund any necessary equipment changes.
