Our free family events are for all faculty, staff, and students with children.
Family Day at the Children's Discovery Museum
We are excited to invite you and your immediate family members to share an afternoon at the Children's Discovery Museum in Uptown Normal. This family activity is held during the spring semester each year and families must register (maximum is 125). The event is free of charge for Illinois State University, faculty, staff, and students and their families.
Family Swims and Climbs
We are excited to offer Family Climbs along with Family Swims held in the Student Fitness Center pool and their rock wall on Saturdays and Sundays. Lifeguards are on duty and all parents/guardians must remain in the pool area. Families are encouraged to bring their own flotation devices. Please note, in order to climb, children must securely fit in Campus Recreation’s harness or bring a harness Campus Recreation staff must approve. Parents/guardians are required to remain in the area while children climb. Please bring ISU ID
