Use our NEW online registration systems to sign up for any of the programs on this page

Wellness at State Booking Site

Follow the steps below to register on the new system

  1. Click on Wellness at State Booking Site link located above or direct links located with each program listed below (If using direct links, skip step #2)
  2. Select a program you'd like to register for from the list at the top of the page
  3. Select the date of the program in the calendar located in the middle of the page
  4. Select time that will appear to the right of the calendar once the date has been selected
  5. Fill out registrant information located below the calendar
  6. Click on the Book button

A confirmation email will be sent to you.

Massage On Campus (For all faculty, staff, and students)

Massages are 30 minutes in length. Please note massage service on campus is a convenience. Please keep your appointment with our massage therapist to ensure our ability to continue this service at ISU. Those who do not show for an appointment without notifying Health Promotion and Wellness (309.438.9355) within 24 hours advance notice will be asked to not book in the future.

  • Spring Session: February 20 through May 7 
    • Days: Tuesdays 
    • Times: 10:00 am through 2:00 pm
  • Room 153, McCormick Hall
  • $30 for 30 minutes
  • Pay Ada Jackson-Givan, Massage Therapist, directly and at the time of service. Payment via Zelle, Venmo, Square, Google Pay, Pay Pal and cash are accepted.

Mindfulness (For all faculty, staff, and students)

Mindfulness courses are free for ISU faculty, staff, students, and ISU Retirees, and held as four-week sessions that help you learn about and practice various mindfulness and meditation techniques based from the evidence-based program, Koru. These techniques can improve sleep, reduce stress and anxiety levels, improve focus, academic performance, and eating behaviors; Mindfulness when practiced, contribute to a greater sense of well-being and overall happiness. Two versions are offered: Basic and 2.0. classes are free, but space is limited.

Basic Mindfulness

Class #1:  Tuesdays:  February 13, 20, 27, and March 5  |  3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.  |  186 McCormick Hall

Class #2:  Wednesdays:  February 14, 21, 28, and March 6  |  Noon – 1:00 p.m.  |  186 McCormick Hall

Mindfulness 2.0

Class #1:  Tuesdays:  April 2, 9, 16, and 23  |  3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.  |  186 McCormick Hall

Class #2:  Wednesdays:  April 3, 10, 17, and 24  |  Noon – 1:00 p.m.  |  186 McCormick Hall

Family Day at the Children's Discovery Museum (For all faculty, staff, and students with children)

We are excited to invite you and your immediate family members to share an afternoon at the Children's Discovery Museum in Uptown Normal. This family activity is held during the spring semester each year and families must register (maximum is 125). The event is free of charge for Illinois State University, faculty, staff, and students and their families.

Family Bowling (For all faculty, staff, and students with children)

Bowling at the Illinois State Bowling and Billiards Center will be held during the spring semester. This family activity is free of charge and families may register for 1 lane and 1 time frame. The time frame for bowling is offered in 60-minute increments between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on the scheduled date.

Support for Nursing Mothers (For all faculty, staff, and students)

Breastfeeding 101 introduces participants to the benefits of breastfeeding for baby, mom, and the family as well as information on nursing techniques, the role of pumping, and information about Illinois breastfeeding laws and Illinois State University policy. This is a free class open to faculty, staff, and students, and their spouses/partners. Facilitated by a certified lactation consultant.

Tuesdays: 4/9 and 6/11/24

Returning to Work or School explores how to successfully return to school or work as a breastfeeding mom. This class covers on-campus lactation spaces, the importance of pumping schedules, and a guide to help conversations with your supervisor and colleagues. This is a free class open to students, faculty, staff, and spouses/partners. Facilitated by a certified lactation consultant.

Family Swims and Climbs (For all faculty, staff, and students with children)

We are excited to offer Family Climbs along with Family Swims held in the Student Fitness Center pool and their rock wall on Saturdays and Sundays. Lifeguards are on duty and all parents/guardians must remain in the pool area. Families are encouraged to bring their own flotation devices. Please note, in order to participate, children must securely fit in Campus Recreation’s harness or bring a harness Campus Recreation staff must approve. Parents/guardians are required to remain in the area while children climb. This is a free event.

  • Saturdays:  February 17 and April 13
    • 10:00 a.m. - Noon
